Back on April 26th of last year, Caitlin Weimar, center for Boston University, announced her transfer to NC State. Unfortunately, Weimar missed the entire season this year due to needing hip surgery. In early January, news broke that Weimar was no longer with NC State, opting to rehabilitate from her surgery back home. Despite that fact, it was unknown whether Weimar would spend her final year of eligibility (this year was a redshirt season) at NC State or enter the transfer portal.
Now we know.
Weimar was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2024, and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
