NC State had as many home runs as Furman managed hits as the Pack completed the sweep of the Paladins in comfortable fashion, winning 9-0 on a rainy Sunday afternoon at the Doak at Dail. Brock Deatherage, Brett Kinneman, and David Vazquez accounted for the long balls for Elliott Avent’s crew, while David Harrison, Nolan Clenney, and Kent Klyman combined on the three-hit shutout.
State outscored Furman 28-2 in the weekend series and went a perfect 5-0 on the week including victories over NC A&T and Charlotte.
Deatherage and Dillon Cooper both tallied three total hits for the Pack.
