The NC State Baseball team overcame an early deficit on Sunday to take down #21 Coastal Carolina on the road in extra innings, 7-6.
Trailing 6-2 heading into the 5th inning, the Wolfpack bats came alive to produce a 4-run top of the 5th that evened the score. From there, Dalton Feeney and Kent Klyman combined to keep the Chanticleers scoreless over the final seven innings of the game, while Patrick Bailey launched a leadoff solo home run in the top of the 11th that proved to be the game winner.
Feeney (4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K) set down the first 11 hitters he faced in order - recording 12 outs in the process, thanks to inducing a double-play to the first hitter he faced to wipe out an inherited runner in the 5th.
