NC State used a balanced attack amassed 276 yards on the ground and 235 in the air on Saturday as the Wolfpack downed Syracuse, 42-29 in Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday. NC State got touchdowns from five different players.
The Wolfpack probably could have won this game by a much wider margin, but stepped off the gas in the fourth quarter when holding a ~20 point lead. When things counted, State was in comfortable enough control as evidenced by a defensive effort in the second quarter that allowed just Syracuse just 39 yards of total offense, including (-7) rushing yards.
