According to Football Scoop, Michigan State reached out to NC State’s Dave Doeren last week about the possibility of being their next head coach.
In mid- to late-week conversations, Michigan State is said to have spoken with/interviewed Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith, Toledo coach Jason Candle and also has had conversations with North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren, per sources. (Football Scoop)
Doeren wasn’t the only coach that the Spartans reached out to, as they are looking to fill the void left by Mel Tucker, who was fired back on September 27th for “inappropriate behavior.
