It wasn’t terribly surprising yesterday to learn that transfer guard Kam Woods had his waiver for immediate eligibility denied by the NCAA. Not that it’s ever easy to predict what the NCAA is gonna do, but after watching other players have so much trouble getting this waiver approved, I figured Woods’ odds of success were slim.
NC State will appeal this ruling, of course, but there’s no telling how long that might take and there doesn’t seem much short of public outcry and the threat of legal action to get the NCAA to flip on these decisions.
