Here’s a Look at the Current & Former NC State Athletes/Coaches who will be Participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics

After yesterday’s opening ceremony, the 2024 Summer Olympics have officially started. Here’s a look at the 13 former/current NC State athletes that will be competing, as well as 2 coaches.

Swimmer Katharine Berkoff will be representing the United States in the 100 Backstroke. Berkhoff came in 2nd in the Olympic Trials, and in the seminfinals of the Trials, she logged a time of 57.83, which is the 4th fastest time ever recorded.

This past season Berkhoff returned to NC State for her final year of eligibility (Covid year), and won the ACC and NCAA Championship in 100 Backstroke, and was also named All-American in 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.
