Former NC State Linebacker Jayland Parker has decided to continue playing for Defensive Coordinator Tony Gibson, committing to play his final year of eligibility at Marshall.

Parker was a 3-star prospect in the Wolfpack’s 2020 recruiting class out of Westside High School in Macon, Georgia.
In Week 1 against Western Carolina, when starter Caden Fordham was ejected for targeting, Parker entered the game and played a career high 48 snaps, tallying 7 tackles.
In 4 seasons at NC State, Parker played in 113 snaps in 34 games, recording 13 career tackles.
