Gilmore has been a frequent visitor in Raleigh this year.
247Sports ranks Gilmore as the #4 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #17 Quarterback nationally.
Gilmore, who plays for Gaffney in Elgin, South Carolina, picked up an offer from NC State on February 20th.
As a Sophomore this past season at Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC), Gilmore threw for 1,767 yards and 22 touchdowns (7 interceptions).
