Former North Carolina State offensive lineman T.J. McCoy will transfer to Florida and be immediately eligible to play this season. Thomas Goldkamp of 247 Sports reported the story.
A three-star recruit out of South Lake High School in Groveland, Florida, near Orlando, McCoy chose to transfer to Florida so that he could be closer to his family. He subsequently received his hardship waiver, even though he did join the Wolfpack earlier this year and participated in spring practices
Now, McCoy will join a Florida team that is starting to look more and more exciting as it prepares to enter its first season under new coach Jim McElwain, formerly of Colorado State.
