Former NC State All-American Shortstop Trea Turner was instrumental in leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a NL East Division title this season. The Phillies will play the winner of the Brewers and the Mets in the Wild Card round that starts today.
Turner was named to the All-Star team for the third time in his career this year. Injuries led Trea to miss time this season, playing in only 121 games, but that didn’t stop him from leading Philly with a .295 batting average. His OBP (.338), SLG (.469) and OPS (.807) were all up from last year.
