Clemson scored a meaningless touchdown late, failing to convert the two-point conversion, and lost at home to NC State 20-9. Wait...what's that? Oh it was a baseball game? Well that makes the 20 on the scoreboard all the more impressive. In fact, the Pack led 20-1 at one point en route to evening the series 1-1 against the pitching poor Tigers at whatever they call the baseball equivalent to Death Valley.
Four of six Clemson (30-16, 12-14) pitchers were tagged for at least three earned runs in State's 21-hit, eight-walk attack. The Pack (32-13, 13-8) saw every starter collect at least two hits save for Brock Deatherage (and he had one).
