Former NC State wrestler Darrion Caldwell defeated Shawn Bunch at the 2:45 mark in the first round last night with a rear naked choke at the Bellator 143 event on SpikeTV. Caldwell is now 8-0 as a fighter in the Bellator MMA circuit. He has now won 3 fights by submission, 4 by decision, and 1 by TKO/KO.
Caldwell had a banner performance last night, but what everyone is going to remember from last night is his celebratory backflip into a camerawoman.
Thankfully, the camerawoman and Caldwell are both ok.
Caldwell won the NCAA Championship as a member of the Wolfpack back in 2009.
