Carlos Rodon making move to White Sox rotation, will start Friday against Oakland

Just a few days after Carlos Rodon threw six solid innings in his first-career start, the Chicago White Sox have made the decision to keep him in their rotation for the rest of the season. Rodon will make his second start on Friday against the Oakland A's.

Rodon won't necessarily be getting the ball every fifth day because the White Sox are going to be careful about giving him too much to handle too soon, and they also have justifiable concerns about his workload. They plan to work in extra rest for Rodon and maybe skip his turn in the rotation occasionally.
