At this point we know that both the Big Ten and Pac-12 will play conference-only football schedules in the fall, if playing football is possible. The ACC has pushed back a decision on scheduling to the latter part of July and the SEC has done the same, while we haven’t heard much of anything from the Big 12.
The SEC is considering several different scheduling formats, as Steven Godfrey reported yesterday, all of which assume that schedules will be trimmed to some extent. The SEC would like to keep in place the existing matchups with ACC schools—which perhaps explains why both leagues are delaying any announcements; they might be talking right now about those games.
