NC State has had some decisive third-quarter performances this season and put together another one this afternoon to put NC A&T away. Give the Aggies credit for hanging around in the first half, but their shooting was bound to cool off, and when it did, the Wolfpack took full control.
A&T shot just 8-28 from the field in the second half as NC State put the clamps on defensively, and the Pack expanded its seven-point halftime lead to 20 by the end of the third quarter.
It was the Jada Boyd show early in the second half, as she scored State’s first six points to push the lead to 13.
