NC State guard Aziaha James has just wrapped up one of the best careers in school history.
James arrived in Raleigh amid high expectations, ranked as the #36 overall player nationally in the 2021 recruiting class according to ESPN. Initially, she had to bide her time, averaging only 9.5 minutes per game as a freshman in 25 games (0 starts), with a scoring average of 4.2 points per game. As a sophomore, her playing time increased, averaging 6.8 points in 18.8 minutes per game over 32 games (6 starts).
As a junior, James entered the starting lineup, finally getting her chance to shine, averaging 16.
