NC State just made a STATEMENT, picking up a commitment from 2019 5-Star Point Guard Jalen Lecque (6’4″/190). Lecque is the 1st commitment in the Wolfpack’s 2019 recruiting class.
ESPN ranks Lecque as the #22 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class, and the #4 point guard. Lecque was playing for Christ School in Arden, North Carolina, but he recently transferred to Brewster Academy up in New Hampshire for his Senior season.
Lecque also included Tennessee, Texas Tech, Louisville, Oregon, TCU and UCLA in his Top-7, but he only took official visits to Raleigh and Knoxville.
At one point, there was a high chance that Lecque was going to reclassify to the 2018 recruiting class, but he chose to stay in 2019 to refine his point guard skills.
