NC State’s 22nd ranked Women’s Basketball team steamrolled Louisville 72-42 on the road today in their 2024-25 ACC opener.
The Wolfpack’s defense was smothering, holding the Cardinals to 23.9% shooting from the field, 8.7% from three and 50% from the free throw line. Louisville’s 42 points is the fewest points NC State has held an opponent to, and fewest points the Cardinals have ever scored against the Wolfpack.
NC State didn’t shoot lights out, but they didn’t need to. The Wolfpack shot 43.9% from the field. They did shoot well as a team from beyond the arc, hitting 36.
