NC State’s past two victories have come against teams that won their respective conference titles last year. Akron won the Mid-American Conference last year, and Presbyterian is the reigning Big South Champ.
The score was tied 0-0 at the half, but Junior Gabriel Machado got the scoring started in the 54th minute, off of an assist from Sophomore David Loera and Senior Simon Blotko.
