BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The 10th-ranked NC State baseball team earned a 4-1 win against the Campbell Fighting Camels Wednesday evening in the Wolfpack’s first road test of the season held at Jim Perry Stadium.
Leading 2-1 heading to the ninth, NC State tacked on a pair of insurance runs en route to the 4-1 victory. Freshman Evan Justice picked up his second win of the season with 2.1 innings of scoreless relief and classmate Reid Johnston pitched the ninth to record his third save.
Campbell’s starter Allan Winans was charged with the loss and falls to 1-2.
