The #10 NC State Women’s Basketball team defeated Miami 76-74 last night at Reynolds Coliseum, extending their winning streak to 9 games, but it didn’t come easy.
The Hurricanes held the lead for more time than the Wolfpack (18:03 to 15:51) and also shot better (50.8% to 43.1%). Miami shot 45.5% from three-point range compared to NC State’s 25.9%, making three more from beyond the arc. They even led by 10 at one point.
How did the Wolfpack manage to win the game?
Well, there are a couple of ways you can beat a team when they shoot better than you, and the two most important are second-chance points off of offensive rebounds and points off of turnovers.
