One of the best traditions in sports continues on New Year's Day as the Boston Bruins host the Montreal Canadiens at Gillette Stadium in the annual Winter Classic.
The puck will be dropped at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on NBC. Tickets are still available for the event at ScoreBig.com.

According to Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe, the uniforms are inspired by the sweaters worn by the teams in the 1924-25 season, the first season for the Bruins and the season after the Canadiens won their first Stanley Cup:
Both teams found their inspiration there, the key elements that would be transferred to the threads and stitches, the colors and collars of their Winter Classic jerseys, sweaters that both teams think symbolize where they’ve been and who they are.
