Understanding VSAT and Network Congestion

Related Topics: Viasat, Inc.

In today’s world, communication is vital, and satellite communication has become an essential part of it. Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) is a satellite communication technology that has been widely used for various applications, including internet connectivity, video conferencing, and data transmission. However, like any other communication technology, VSAT is also susceptible to network congestion, which can significantly affect its performance.

Network congestion occurs when the demand for network resources exceeds the available capacity. In the case of VSAT, this can happen when too many users are trying to access the satellite at the same time, or when the satellite’s bandwidth is limited.
