The NHL trade deadline has come and gone, and while deadline day itself was boring, the days leading up to it had their fair share of trades. As always, some teams did well, and some stumbled. Here is a look at the winners and losers from the trade deadline.
Winner: Calgary Flames
After making the playoffs last year, the Calgary Flames’ disappointing 26-33-4 record this season (which puts them in sixth place in the Pacific division) led to their status as sellers at the deadline.
The first player they traded was Jiri Hudler, who last season had 31 goals and 76 points.
