The internet has become an integral part of our lives, and it’s hard to imagine a world without it. Bosnia and Herzegovina, like many other countries, has seen a significant growth in internet usage over the years. However, the country’s journey towards a fully connected society has not been without its challenges.
The history of the internet in Bosnia and Herzegovina dates back to the early 1990s when the country was still part of Yugoslavia. At that time, the internet was only accessible to a small group of people, mostly academics and researchers. The first internet service provider (ISP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina was BH Telecom, which was established in 1996.
