This NHL offseason has seen Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Neu010das and Columbus Blue Jackets winger Patrik Laine feature regularly mentioned as trade candidates. Both are on our July NHL Trade Block Rankings.
One reason is their reported desire to move on to another club. The Athletic's Harman Dayal and Shayna Goldman wrote that Neu010das reportedly sought a change of scenery as he's unhappy with his role on the Hurricanes. Their colleague Pierre LeBrun reported Laine sought a fresh start with a new team.
Brian Dumoulin also requested a trade from the Seattle Kraken last month to an East Coast club.
