The Buffalo Sabres and president Ted Black "mutually agreed to part ways," according to a press release from the team Monday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
Russ Brandon, currently the president of the Buffalo Bills, will also take over as president of the Sabres, pulling double duty for the two franchises.
"Since we purchased the Buffalo Bills last October, we have been highly impressed with the business acumen that Russ has shown with the Bills," Terry and Kim Pegula said in the joint statement. "Now is an appropriate time to give him additional responsibilities with the Sabres.
