Wild Card Race
Currently, the Columbus Blue Jackets sit 3 points outside of the 2nd Wild Card spot in the East, with 84 points. Ahead of them are the Carolina Hurricanes (87 points) and Montreal Canadiens (87 points), and behind them are the Philadelphia Flyers (80 points) . Carolina and Montreal could fizzle out, and the Blue Jackets could take the number one or Wild Card spot, and the Hurricanes or Canadiens would take on the Lightning.
