The Florida Panthers, who are a first-place team on New Year's Day for just the third time in franchise history, rewarded executive vice president and general manager Dale Tallon with a multiyear extension Friday.
The Panthers also named Tom Rowe, the coach of Florida's AHL affiliate (the Portland Pirates), associate general manager on Friday.
We are very pleased that Dale has agreed to sign a multiyear contract extension," Panthers executive chairman Peter Luukko said in a statement. "Dale has done an outstanding job building our roster over the last six years. This extension brings added stability to our organization and hockey operations department.
