Steven Stamkos has blood clot in arm, will miss 1-3 months

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will undergo surgery to remove a blood clot in his arm and miss the next one to three months, general manager Steve Yzerman announced on Saturday. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The 26-year-old was held out of Saturday’s game against the Devils due to what the team initially called an “upper body injury.
