Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews and Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid on Wednesday were named finalists for the 2020-21 Ted Lindsay Award.

The award, which was formerly known as the Lester B. Pearson Award, is presented annually to the most outstanding player in the league as voted by the members of the NHL Players’ Association. The winner will be announced during the Stanley Cup Final.
Crosby, 33, would join Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as the only players to receive the award four or more times.
