The San Jose Sharks re-signed restricted free agent goaltender Josef Korenar to a one-year contract.
The team announced the two-way deal Tuesday, which was worth $750,000 in the NHL and $85,000 in the AHL with $125,000 guaranteed, according to The Mercury News.

“Josef took a big step in his development last season, showing his athleticism and awareness in net while appearing in the NHL for the first time,” said general manager Doug Wilson in a statement. “He also delivered a strong performance in the AHL’s Pacific Division playoffs, leading AHL goaltenders in goals-against average and helped the Barracuda to the semifinals.
