The Detroit Red Wings wasted no time after acquiring goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic from the Carolina Hurricanes. Almost as soon as the trade was announced on Thursday the two sides agreed to terms on a two-year contract with an AAV of $3 million.
In exchange, the Hurricanes received a third-round pick (94th overall) in the upcoming 2021 NHL Draft and the rights to veteran goaltender Jonathan Bernier, who is a pending unrestricted free agent.
