Early opinions on moves made at the NHL trade deadline will always be expressed, but those deals can't be fairly assessed until the rest of the season plays out.
So, while some teams looked to have made strong moves this year ahead of the April 12 deadline, the rest of the 2020-21 regular season could impact on how they are eventually viewed.
Teams that were buyers at the deadline will look to push their way into the Stanley Cup playoffs, while those that were sellers will hope the draft capital they acquired will benefit them in the future.
