Steve Yzerman was asked at his exit meeting with the media about trades for the offseason. The Red Wings GM was adamant that they would be open to making deals but it has to fall inline with their current team. Players who fit the core of the team like Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi.
“In general, I don’t think it makes a lot of sense for us to be trading draft picks and prospects for players that might not be here in three, four, five years,” he said.
