The Stanley Cup playoffs are still in the earliest phase, but Game 2 represents a wake-up call for NHL teams that lost their playoff opener.
That's especially true for the Anaheim Ducks and Washington Capitals. Both of those teams lost Game 1 to the San Jose Sharks and Columbus Blue Jackets, respectively. If either the Ducks or Capitals can win Game 2 at home, they can breathe a little bit easier. However, if they lose Game 2 and have to go on the road down 2-0, they will be on the edge of desperation.
