NHL News: Rangers trade Brendan Lemieux to Kings, Brad Marchand lands on COVID list, and Frederik Andersen return “not imminent”

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired gritty winger Brendan Lemieux from the Rangers for a fourth round pick. This should help L.A. as they try and fight their way back into a playoff spot. As for the Blueshirts they need to make room for not only Vitali Kravtsov but also for returning players like Phil Di Giuseppe and Brett Howden off COVID protocol.

New York is also carrying three goalies again, and I have learned they plan on bringing up prized prospect Morgan Barron in the neat future.

Lemieux was signed this summer to a two year deal and was possibly going to have to be exposed to the Seattle Kraken in expansion.
