Alex Ovechkin isn’t worried about his next contract, his focus in on the Boston Bruins. The Capitals will take on the Boys from Beantown tomorrow night to open the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It’s all about the Cup for Washington’s captain from here on out.

“I’m not worried about it,” Ovechkin said via NHL.com about his next deal. “Why do I have to worry about it?” The rumor mill has the Caps reserving anywhere from $8 to $11 million depending on how much term Alex is seeking. Bottom line is this will get done as TSN did not even bother to mention him on their top UFA list this summer.
