NHL Hall of Fame Goalie Johnny Bower Dies at Age 93

The NHL announced Hall of Fame goaltender and four-time Stanley Cup champion Johnny Bower died Tuesday of pneumonia at the age of 93.

Bower, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1976, spent 15 years in the NHL with the New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs. All four of his championships (1962, 1963, 1964, 1967) came with Toronto.

"The entire Toronto Maple Leaf organization is deeply saddened following the passing of Johnny Bower," Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan said in a statement relayed by the NHL.
