The NHL playoffs are certainly heating up, and several players are making a case for the Conn Smythe Trophy. The most valuable player to his team during the NHL playoffs will receive the prestigious award at the end of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Patrick Roy is the only player to have won the award three times, while Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bernie Parent are the only players to have won it twice. This season, only Justin Williams has a chance at winning the trophy for a second time after earning the award in 2014. He now plays for the Washington Capitals and is down 3-2 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
