Carolina Hurricanes center Martin Necas and New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren highlight the list of 14 players who will file for salary arbitration this offseason, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman (h/t ProHockeyRumors' Brennan McClain).
The number of players filing for arbitration is down from the 22 players who filed last offseason.
The 25-year-old Necas is coming off a season in which he scored 24 goals and had 29 assists for the Hurricanes. After Carolina's playoff exit, Necas reportedly became a potential trade candidate, but it seems the Hurricanes will instead try to find an agreeable deal with the restricted free agent.
