The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Jake McCabe (50% salary retained), forward Sam Lafferty and two future draft picks from the Blackhawks on Monday, sending forwards Joey Anderson and Pavel Gogolev to Chicago.
The Blackhawks also get a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and a second-round selection in 2026. The first-round pick is top 10 protected.
The draft picks heading to Toronto are a conditional fifth-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft and a conditional fifth-round selection in 2025. Also, the Blackhawks will retain 50 percent of McCabe’s salary.
