Kessel’s Time With The Pittsburgh Penguins Coming To An End?

In those four seasons, Kessel has made quite the impact on the team and the city. But much like how it went with the Toronto Maple Leafs, some of the fanbase is starting to turn on the fan favourite.

A Brief History

Phil Kessel was selected 5th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2006 draft. His rookie season he had 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 70 games. He ended up playing three years in Boston accumulating 126 points (66 goals, 60 assists) in 222 games. On Sept. 18, 2009, Kessel was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2010 1st round pick, 2010 2nd round pick, and a 2011 1st round pick.
