The Winnipeg Jets have made a trade to address their needs at forward on Saturday. In exchange for a second-round pick in the 2024, they’ve acquired Nino Niederreiter from the Nashville Predators.
Niederreiter, 30, has 28 points in 56 games this season for the Preds. According to Sara Orlesky, he won’t be available to the Jets game against the New York Islanders on Sunday but is expected to play against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
The Jets announced that they lost Cole Perfetti for eight weeks earlier in the day.
Per the Nashville Predators, this now gives them eight picks in the 2024 NHL Draft with two in the second round.
