The deadline for NHL players to file for arbitration was Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, and a number of players reportedly took that step.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, goaltenders Filip Gustavsson (Minnesota Wild) and Jeremy Swayman (Boston Bruins) were among the players who filed for arbitration. Murat Ates of The Athletic, CapFriendly and PuckPedia reported the following players did as well:
- Gabriel Vilardi (Winnipeg Jets)
- Ryan McLeod (Edmonton Oilers)
- Philipp Kurashev (Chicago Blackhawks)
- Brett Howden (Vegas Golden Knights)
- Trent Frederic (Boston Bruins)
- Brandon Duhaime (Minnesota Wild)
