Scott Burnside: Let's start with this. If the NHL was really serious about pulling the pin on the Olympics, they would have done so months ago. If the owners really hate the Olympics as much as Gary Bettman insists they do -- Bettman said during last year's Stanley Cup finals that he's "pretty sure that our teams are not really interested in paying for the privilege for disrupting our season" -- they would have instructed the commissioner to call it off. But they haven't. So how about some honesty, which has been sorely missing in all of this?
