With the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline now history, activity in the trade market has died down and will remain that way for the most part until after the Stanley Cup playoffs. Only non-playoff teams will be allowed to make deals with each other from the end of the regular season through the end of the postseason.
As the regular season nears its conclusion and with the playoffs on the horizon, it's a good opportunity to revisit and revise our October 2023 predictions for when the 2024 NHL free-agency period begins on July 1.
