Longtime NHL defenseman and current Minnesota Wild assistant coach Darryl Sydor was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of drunk driving in Fridley, Minnesota.

Sydor Suspected of Driving While Impaired

According to Dave Aeikens of KSTP.com, the 43-year-old coach was arrested at 6:15 p.m. ET (5:15 p.m. CT). Sydor's current status and the exact nature of the potential charges against him have yet be released.
Sydor has served under Wild head coach Mike Yeo since 2011 after spending 18 seasons in the NHL as a dependable blueliner.
