In April of 2013, Jim Nill was hired to replace Joe Nieuwendyk as general manager of the Dallas Stars. In his six years as a GM for the Stars, he has made the playoffs twice and hasn’t made it past the second round. It is my honest opinion that the Dallas Stars organization would be better off firing Jim Nill and replacing him with a current assistant general manager or even reach out to former Tampa Bay Lightning GM Steve Yzerman and offer him a job with Dallas.
Trading
Over the course of his time in Dallas, Jim Nill has made a total of 33 trades and I will break a few of them down and place them in categories.
